Instant Funding rules and how to track them
Instant Funding's profit targets and loss limits by program, and how to set them up in Simple Trading Journal so you always see how far you are from each limit.

Platforms: MT5, cTrader, Match-Trader
Details worth knowing
- Instant Funding accounts have no evaluation, no profit target and no daily limit. The Smart Drawdown starts at 10% of the starting balance; once you are 5% in profit it becomes 5% below the starting balance and stays there (on $10,000: $9,000, then $9,500).
- To request a payout on an Instant Funding account you first need to reach 5% profit.
- A trading day counts only when you open a new trade; holding positions from earlier days does not count.
- Instant Funding sells more programs (Micro, Crypto, IF1 and others) with different limits. Check your own program on their rules page.
How to track Instant Funding in Simple Trading Journal
- Create a new journal and choose Prop Account.
- Enter your account size as the starting capital.
- Enter the profit target, max daily loss and max total loss as amounts. On a $100,000 account, 5% is $5,000.
- For the total loss, choose "from the starting balance" or "from the highest balance (trailing)" to match the table above.
- Connect MetaTrader with the Expert Advisor so every trade arrives on its own, or import your history file.

The counter in your journal uses closed trades. Instant Funding can also count the floating loss of open positions, so leave yourself a buffer below each limit.
